Cookie settings
On this page we explain which types of cookies and similar technologies may be used in the Cardloader online shop. Depending on your selected settings, the functionality of our shop may be limited and individual functions, such as customer account features, cart functions, wish lists, availability notifications or personalized content, may not be fully available.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device by your browser. On a later visit, these files or the information stored in them can be read again. In addition to classic cookies, comparable technologies such as local storage, pixels, tags or similar identifiers may also be used.
These technologies may process, among other things, the following information:
- browser and operating system used,
- pages viewed and actions performed in the shop,
- date and time of the visit,
- shopping cart, checkout, language and login information,
- IP address, possibly shortened, or a pseudonymous identifier.
Cookies cannot execute programs and cannot transmit viruses.
2. Which cookies and similar technologies do we use?
We generally distinguish between the following categories:
a) Technically required cookies
These cookies and technologies are necessary for the shop to function properly. They may be used, for example, for:
- shopping cart and checkout functions,
- login and customer account functions,
- security and fraud prevention,
- language, region and currency settings,
- storing your cookie preferences.
Technically required cookies are used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, where they are necessary for contract performance or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in a secure and functional online shop. They cannot be disabled through our systems.
b) Statistics and analytics cookies
These cookies help us understand how our shop is used, for example which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, which devices are used and how users interact with the shop. We use this information to improve our content, usability and offers.
Statistics and analytics cookies are only used where legally permitted or if you have given your consent. Where consent is required, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
c) Marketing and personalization cookies
These cookies and similar technologies may enable us and, where applicable, our partners to show you relevant content or advertising, to measure marketing performance and to personalize the shop experience, for example based on products viewed or interactions with the shop.
Marketing and personalization cookies are only used where legally permitted or if you have given your consent. Where consent is required, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Depending on the service provider, data may also be processed in countries outside the EU or the European Economic Area. In such cases, we aim to ensure an appropriate level of data protection, for example through EU standard contractual clauses or other suitable safeguards, where required.
3. Managing your consent
When you first visit the shop, a cookie notice or cookie banner may allow you to choose whether only required cookies are used or whether you also allow statistics, analytics, marketing and personalization cookies.
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time with effect for the future. If a cookie settings link or consent tool is available in the shop, you can use it to adjust your preferences. You may also contact us if you have questions about your cookie settings.
4. Browser settings
You can also manage cookies directly in your browser settings. Depending on the browser, you may be able to:
- delete existing cookies,
- block cookies in general or for specific websites,
- restrict third-party cookies,
- configure notifications before cookies are stored.
Please note that if you generally disable cookies, our shop may no longer function properly. In particular, cart, checkout, login, language or security functions may be affected.
5. Further information
Further information about the services we use, the respective legal bases, storage periods, data transfers and your rights as a data subject can be found in our Privacy Policy. Additional information may also be provided within the cookie settings or consent tool, where available.
If you have questions about cookies or data protection at Cardloader, you can contact us at any time: info@cardloader.eu.
